The Master of Science in Upper Gastrointestinal Endoscopy is a specialized postgraduate program designed to cultivate advanced clinical expertise, procedural precision, and diagnostic acumen in the field of upper GI endoscopy. This course empowers physicians and allied health professionals to perform, interpret, and manage upper GI endoscopic procedures with a focus on safety, compliance, and patient-centered care.
Structured around core modules in esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD), therapeutic interventions, sedation protocols, and mucosal pathology, the curriculum integrates anatomy, physiology, and pathology of the upper GI tract with hands-on training in endoscopic technique, scope handling, and complication management. Learners will engage in simulation-based labs, supervised clinical rotations, and case-based discussions to develop proficiency in identifying and managing conditions such as peptic ulcers, varices, Barrett’s esophagus, and early GI malignancies.
The program emphasizes clinical governance, infection control, medico-legal frameworks, and emerging technologies including AI-assisted endoscopy, capsule endoscopy, and image-enhanced modalities. Graduates will be equipped to lead endoscopy units, contribute to research, and implement quality assurance protocols in hospital and ambulatory settings.
This master’s degree is ideal for professionals seeking to deepen their expertise in gastroenterology, surgical endoscopy, or wellness-based GI diagnostics, and aligns with global standards for credentialing, licensing, and interdisciplinary collaboration
